We feed your lawn with our slow-release granular fertilizer. It is essential to a great lawn care program to have the proper nutrients at the correct time throughout the season.
Our organic fertilizer is 100% non-toxic and is safe for children and animals. The fertilizer provides essential nutrients for the grass and other beneficial nutrients to increase the soil microbial activity. This helps to aid the long-term, lawn care program that feeds the soil and the grass . We schedule each application 4-6 weeks apart for a total of 5 applications periods each season because the fertilizer is designed to feed for 4-6 weeks (depending on soil moisture).
Our first weed control application each season creates a crabgrass barrier to ensure your lawn is crabgrass-free all season long. It is an essential first step to our lawn care program that creates the foundation for the summer.
Every Green Team Lawn Care application includes weed control. We start the season with Crabgrass Prevention and spend the rest of the season working on broadleaf weeds, such as dandelion and clover. Spot weed control applications are done in the heat of the summer to avoid stressing (or killing) the growing grass. Broadcast weed control applications are done in the cooler season (spring & fall) to target the entire lawn.
Grubs are increasingly becoming an issue in northern Michigan. Protect your lawn by investing in a grub prevention application. Grubs have the potential to destroy your lawn so it is a great idea to prevent the damage with a well-timed mid summer treatment.
As we monitor your lawn throughout the season we occasionally will notice a disease issue on a Northport, MI lawn. There are a few diseases that can affect lawns in Northport. Usually diseases are related to heat stress and excess soil moisture.
